Customer Service & Shipping Info

We understand that buying artwork online, for some, can be a bit intimidating. Here at Robyn Markowitz Modern Art we do everything we can to ensure that the photographs you see on the website are true-to-life. The image you see may be different due to slight variations in browsers, devices and screen settings. These should only be minor.  In fact, photographs can't always capture specific nuances of a painting, and we find that customers are usually happier when they receive the original than with the online picture. If, after receiving your art, you are unhappy for any reason, we will gladly accept a return of the piece(s) within seven (7) days of your receipt of the artwork. The customer will only be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us in its original shipping container (using the packing material it was originally wrapped in). If the original container is not available, the customer, at his or her expense, will have it repackaged and shipped back by the same company used to ship it. We will not be responsible for damage incurred during the return shipping process. Upon our receipt of the undamaged work(s), a full refund, or credit towards another painting will be issued.

 

All artwork is meticulously packed and shipped at a local shipping company and is insured for damages during the shipping process. If you receive damaged goods, you must contact us within 48-hours of your receipt of the work.  We will get in touch with the shipping company to work towards getting a resolution for you as soon as possible. We ask that you take photographs of any and all damages including: the damaged box, packaging, and frame/glass, and email them to us to forward to the shipping company for further proof of damages.


All artwork purchased through the on-line shop will be shipped within 3-5 business days of purchase. Commissioned paintings are shipped after the work is completed.  


All paintings are shipped with insurance included and come with a tracking number through the carrier. An adult signature will be required upon delivery.  Once your work has been shipped, you will receive an email from us with the details.


Shipping might be delayed due to weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond the carrier's control. 


Since I sell my work at local events, a piece may be sold during that event that you purchase on my site on the same day.  I endeavor to update my website as soon as I am home from a show, so that this doesn't happen.  If, however, a piece of work that is sold slips through the cracks and is purchased by you while I'm at an event, I will contact you directly.  I will do my best to work with you on creating a similar piece, if you so choose.  If not, a refund will gladly be given, with my apologies.  I hope that in this event, you will give me another chance to make you happy with another piece of art.

FAQs

What medium are you using in your original abstract art paintings?

I use a variety of media:  acrylic paints and inks, India inks, alcohol inks, varied pigments, resin, chalk and oil pastels, and acrylic mediums such as glazes, gels, varnishes, and texture mediums.


Can I purchase unframed abstract artworks from you?

Yes.  All original art shown on my website that is framed will be sold that way.  If works are sold unframed, it will be noted in the description.  You may contact me about doing a commissioned piece (See the drop-down menu 'Commissioning Works') to order a non-framed work or works.


Can you ship internationally?

Yes, I can ship to most countries.  It will, of course take longer to arrive depending on your location. Message me with your details, and I can give you further information on shipping options.


Can I pick up my abstract artwork at your studio rather than having it shipped?

Yes.  If you live in the Naples, Florida area, you are welcome to pick up your artwork at my studio.  When checking out, please choose the "Free Shipping" option (it will direct you to do so if you wish to pick up your piece(s).)  I will contact you once your order is received, and we will work out a time to meet.


Will my artwork be ready to hang?

Yes.  Depending on the type of framing used, it will either have hanging elements attached, or it will come with picture wire already attached and ready to be hung.


How are large or high-value artworks shipped?

I appreciate this is a high-value purchase--and a piece of abstract art that I have spent a lot of time and effort on! It's important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely.  Most couriers have limits on dimensions and specific packaging materials.  Larger items may have "special" packing and shipping requirements.  High-value pieces may be specially packed and crated to assure they arrive in perfect condition.  This type of shipping is more expensive, but well worth the money. When you invest in such a piece, the estimated shipping cost shown at checkout may be less than what is actually required to ship your artwork properly.  I will contact you regarding proper handling and packaging before the artwork is sent.  I will endeavor to use the least expensive courier service for these special purchases.  You are welcome to contact me directly about any such purchase(s), and I will be happy to discuss the details with you.


How is my payment handled?

During the checkout process, you will be asked how you wish to pay.  We receive payments through both PayPal and Square.  These two choices ensure your information is kept safe and secure. Neither company share your credit card information with us.  If you should order directly through us, we ensure your credit card information will be destroyed immediately after the transaction has taken place.


How soon will I receive my abstract artwork?

Most orders will be packaged and shipped within 3-5 business days.  The speed at which your art will arrive depends on the service chosen.  I have several options available to you for quicker delivery.  If you need your abstract art artworks by a certain date, please contact me prior to making the purchase, so that I can ensure it will be delivered on time!  There may be additional charges for rush deliveries according to the your requirements.


Oh No!  My favorite piece is sold!!  Can you recreate it for me?

Yes and No.  

I sell all my abstract art artworks as originals; therefore, I cannot duplicate a work exactly.  However, if you are interested in a painting with a similar look, I would be happy to discuss working with you in that regard.  I often paint in a series, so there may be pieces that haven't been added to the website yet that are available to you for purchase.  Otherwise, it can be treated as a commissioned work (Please see the drop-down "Commission Works" tab on my the home page).  Please feel free to contact me, and I will do my very best to make you happy with ANOTHER original abstract artwork art piece just for you!
